Group Your Cards Out First
The first thing you should do once the cards are distributed is to group them in alternatives to avoid confusion among same-coloured cards.
Using the AutoSort option is ideal at this point. It automatically sorts your 13 cards based on suits with a single click of the button that is on the left side.

Track the Pattern of Sequences
It’s wise enough to understand how sequences and sets work in a Rummy Game. In the image above, you know that you have already made up your 1st life. Then onwards, you are able to create impure sequences or sets as you wish.

Collect Jokers and Play Smart
Joker cards in a rummy game play a major role. Even if you have a printed Joker with you already, you can still collect more Joker cards from the open pile. 4 Card Sequences
Creating sets of 4 cards makes it easy to finish the sets and sequences in Rummy. When you finish two sets of 4 cards, then you only need to finish the rest of the cards.
Note: You make a maximum of two 4 card sequences in a 13 card Rummy game.
For example; look at the 2nd life and Impure sequence below.
Tip: This you can complete with a joker card if you already have a pure sequence.
Do Not Hold Cards for Too Long
If you hold some value cards like K, Q, J or A and wait to complete sets but not get the right cards. Then it’s ideal to drop these cards for lower value cards which you draw and try to complete alternative sets or sequences. Rummy also is a game of timing which you should keep in mind when playing.
Discard High Value Cards
High value cards are basically those which hold a total of 10 points in the game – A, K, Q, and J and the number 10 card. These cards will only help you if you have more of them to create sets or are creating a sequence of 10, J, Q, K or A.
Unless you have the feeling that you are able to complete a valid set or sequence using these high value cards early on, it is best to discard them and not allow the points to be added to your score.

Know When to Drop Out
In this JILI Rummy game, you will receive penalty points for ungrouped cards if you fail to form valid sets and sequences, with a maximum cap of 80 points. Therefore, dropping out at the start of the round will only incur 20 points. Using this strategy will help you stay competitive in the game.
